Safe and reliable drying. Avoid explosion hazards.
Process Safety Guaranteed: vötschoven fresh air drying cabinets VFT operate on the principle of exclusive fresh air supply. Due to the inherently safe design, explosive mixtures do not come into contact with potential ignition sources and are safely discharged under supervision. Very large quantities of solvents can be safely dried. The usable space is defined as a Zone 1 area, where it is expected that an explosive atmosphere consisting of a mixture of air with flammable substances in the form of gas, vapor, or mist may occur during normal operation. The devices have a type examination certificate TÜV 16 ATEX 7810 X and therefore do not require individual approval and can be put into operation directly. Its small external dimensions allow it to be installed in laboratory, technical, and production areas. Wherever there is a high demand for solvent drying.
Ensuring reproducible processes:
- Homogeneous temperature distribution throughout the usable space for uniform drying
- High fresh air volumes of 2m³/min. for safe processing/drying of large quantities of solvents
- PID temperature program controller JUMO diraTron 104 with self-optimization of control parameters
- A temperature program storable in the controller for repeat processes Ensuring safe processes:
- Explosion-proof design for safe processing of large quantities of solvents
- Permanent monitoring of the fresh and exhaust air volume flow ensures safe flushing of the interior
- Overpressure encapsulated control cabinet with low compressed air requirement in normal operation of 20 l/min.
- Automatic emergency flushing of the heating and control cabinet in case of power failure or malfunction
- Temperature limiter (TB) for device protection
- Temperature selection limiter (TWB) for product protection The interior is explosion-proof, designed according to temperature classes T1, T2, T3, and T4, and complies with Directive 2014/34/EU for equipment group II, category 2G. Substances of explosion groups II A and II B can be introduced. The outer housing complies with category 3G and is suitable for installation in Zone 2. An area where a hazardous explosive atmosphere as a mixture of air and flammable gases, vapors, or mists normally does not occur or only occurs briefly during normal operation.
