Schunk donates fire truck

The fire-fighting vehicle from the Heuchelheim site is now in service in the Ukraine.

Commissioned in Heuchelheim in 1997, now in service in the Ukraine: The Schunk plant fire department has handed over a fire-fighting group vehicle from its stock for further use in the Ukraine. The vehicle has now been transferred to Rivne in western Ukraine - exactly where it will be used in the future will be decided on site.

With the donation, Schunk is participating in an initiative of the Frankfurt Fire Department. The fire department had received requests for help from Ukrainian fire departments through its partner city of Krakow. In view of the war in Ukraine, the fire departments there urgently need materials and emergency vehicles. In addition to the Schunk plant fire department, many other fire departments and rescue services from Hesse have participated in the support campaign, so that several convoys have already departed from Frankfurt for western Ukraine, from where the vehicles and goods will be further distributed.

In the inventory of the plant fire department of Schunk for the fire-fighting group vehicle replaced by two newer vehicles, which have already been purchased.
