Apprenticeship as a Technical System Planner
If you enjoy drawing and are fascinated by technology, an apprenticeship as a technical system planner could suit you quite well.
Technical system planners produce not only component and system drawings but also sketches, plans, and schematic or perspective representations of components and products. Detailed designs and calculations are also part of the day-to-day tasks. The drawings are generally created by computer and sometimes by hand.
Technical system planners also transfer customer drawings into the company’s own format, create 3D views, and produce drawings of new developments and designs so that these can ultimately be produced.
At Weiss Technik, technical system planners create the design plans for climatic test chambers or environmental simulation chambers. They also design air conditioning systems for hospitals, clean rooms, and IT technology.
During your apprenticeship, you will learn how to create and use technical documents as well as how to differentiate between materials and manufacturing processes. Computer-aided design is just as much a part of your job as calculating detailed drawings and creating sketches.
