EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM
If a battery fire should occur in the climatic chamber, it is detected immediately and the high-pressure water mist system starts. This pumps water at approx. 100 bar to the vaporiser nozzles in the chamber. The high pressure creates a fine mist, most of which evaporates immediately. A high cooling capacity is therefore achieved with a relatively small amount of water. A large amount of heat is abruptly removed from the test space and the chamber and container are saved from total destruction. With a storage volume of 30 minutes, the existing water reserve offers sufficient time to initiate further measures.
